Particles Plus says its latest environmental sensors improve performance
and accuracy of the company’s line of air quality monitors.
The enhanced sensor for CO2 employs a non-dispersive infrared (NDIR)
detector that, coupled with free enhanced field calibration software,
provides tighter accuracies and field adjustable offsets, the company
says. The NDIR sensor has a range of 0 – 5000 ppm with a 1 ppm
resolution and ±1 percent accuracy.
Additionally, the new miniature photo-ionization detector’s (PID) design
allows for performance over a range of 0 – 20 PPM, with a resolution of
1 part per billion and an accuracy of ±1.5 percent. The company says
the stability and performance is ideal for measuring harmful volatile
organic compounds.
Particles Plus says field application testing and customer feedback led
to the air quality monitors’ upgrades. The products are a “necessary
tool” for manufacturing process control, indoor air quality control and
contamination exposure monitoring, and occupational health and
industrial hygiene studies, says David Pariseau, the company’s chief
technical officer.
